However, as a contingency plan, I would advise researching all the way up to Heavy Turrets just in case the Kra'Hen Tank technology begins to match your own. First, you will ONLY have time to research and deploy Tracked Tanks equipped with Laser Turrets and Range Extension on EVERY planet to fight off Kra'Hen Tanks equipped only with Cannon Turrets, and afterwards, you will finally develop Anti-Grav Tanks equipped with Laser Turrets and Range Extension, and use a strategy that I call "King Of The Mountaintop" to fight off endless waves of Kra'Hen tanks, using only a single tank! More on this later. In the early stages of the game when you are preparing to make your move against the Kra'Hen, you will NEED to establish technological superiority of Tanks to help defend your planets against enemy invasion. However, be advised that while you will need to research Heavy Corvette for it's technology, you actually only need to build the standard Corvette to win this scenario, saving you precious time and credits! Otherwise your fleets will be intercepted and destroyed. You will NEED to research up to at least Heavy Corvettes to unlock and research Hyperdrive MK4, which will allow you to outrun and outmaneuver the Kra'Hen fleet for the duration of the scenario. You will need to construct the following: The first step is to prepare your planets to conduct the necessary research levels that you will need to reach to defeat the Kra'Hen. You MUST have everything ready and in place, and when the timing is just right, make your move.īut in order to get to this point, where are you ready to make your move against the Kra'Hen, you must embark on The Great Preparation. Act too late, and the Kra'Hen will destroy the Toluen. You are going to have to provoke the Kra'Hen into attacking you to take their focus off the Toluen, but the timing has to be just right, and you MUST be prepared to defend yourself against the Kra'Hen forces! Act too soon, and the Kra'Hen will destroy you while you are unprepared.
The first phase of winning this scenario involves preparing your empire to draw the Kra'Hen's fire away from the Toluen, and deliberately engaging them in a war of your own. Should the Toluen lose their planets and perish, you lose the scenario. They have a measly two planets which are virtually defenseless, while the Kra'Hen are rapidly preparing to launch a major offensive to wipe them from the galaxy. However, the difficulty in this scenario is controlling and manipulating the flow of events to give you the time you will need to research and produce these technologies before the Kra'Hen wipe out the Toluen.Īs the scenario states, when you begin the Kra'Hen and the Toluen are already at war, with the Toluen forces hopelessly outmatched. You MUST research your way to these technologies in order to have a chance at protecting the Toluen from extinction at the hands of the Kra'Hen empire.
